Many fitness studios and personal trainers rely on word on word of mouth referrals and in-person relationship building to keep clients coming around. While this will always be an important part of your marketing plan, please don’t forget about your website.
Today I’m sharing 3 ways that fitness studios will benefit from having an online presence. Your website will allow you to stand out from the competition, take advantage of new marketing tactics, and make it easier for your clients to buy from you.
That’s a win-win-win in my book! Keep ready to learn the 3 reasons that your fitness studio needs a website.
Think of your website as your businesses online storefront. It needs to visually represent your brand, be easy to use, and strategically built with your business goals in mind.
Without a website, you’re mainly relying on word-of-mouth referrals to find clients. Perhaps you’ve taken it up a notch and created some print marketing pieces and are listed on social media sites, like Yelp. While that’s all great and will help to establish your online presence please think about adding a website as a marketing tool.
When visiting social sites like Yelp or Instagram, it’s so helpful to be able to click over to your website to learn more about the kinds of fitness classes or personal training sessions you offer. Without a site, its difficult for potential clients to see what working out at your location will be like and they won’t be able to get a feel for the instructors or class philosophy itself.
You need to share your brand’s story on your website to draw the reader in and get them to become a client or customer. Without a website, it’s really difficult to accomplish this goal.
Your website is a fantastic place to utilize online sign-ups for classes and personal training sessions. This makes it SOOOO much easier for your potential clients to buy from you. Because the fewer steps you can give potential clients on your website to buy, the better.
If you’re a fitness studio that has various classes, such as yoga or pilates, then you can easily integrate third-party tools on your WordPress website to start booking out your classes in advance. Mind Body Online and Punchpass are the most comprehensive solutions and are the ones that I often recommend to my clients. For personal trainers, Trainerize is an excellent option. I love that you can build training programs, track client progress, and chat with your clients all within the app.
Acuity Scheduling is another wonderful alternative, that usually gets overlooked since people think of it as a place to schedule meetings. But it’s perfect for fitness studios and personal trainers! You can schedule classes, 1-on-1 appointments, and accepts payments with ease. Plus, it’s really easy to use and embed on a website.
Integrating premium tools, like these, will help to set your business apart from the competition. It’s great for your clients because they can easily log in, book classes, or just see an overview of their schedule. And, it’s life-changing for your business because you know ahead of time if a class is or isn’t booked, you don’t need to chase down clients for payments, and it all happens behind the scenes on autopilot.
When you have a digital storefront, you can push all of your marketing efforts to one place. Your website. One that you’re confident in and that represents your brand and business well. It has all of the information that someone needs and you’ve made it really easy for them to book with you.
A website allows you to stand out from your competition by sharing your own personal story, your unique brand identity and gives you a place to paint a picture of what working with you or your team will be like.
With a website, you can also take advantage of SEO as a marketing tactic. That way if someone is searching locally for classes or personal training services, you’ll show up in the search results. Start by installing and using the plugin, Yoast SEO, on your WordPress website. Want a little more help? Check out this post on how to boost tour SEO using ALT text.
Hopefully, by now, I’ve convinced you of the importance of establishing a presence online. But please don’t just slap something together and call it a day. I’m sure that you want a website that you’re business can continue to grow into. One that is set-up right from the start to bring your business success.
