Junior Designer

Position Overview

This position will support Jules Design and our clients through various graphic design projects.

Responsibilities 

Design graphics, marketing materials, and edit websites to support our ongoing design clients. You’ll also design graphics for Jules Design. 

• Design on brand marketing materials and graphics for ongoing clients.
• Duplicate existing design templates for ongoing clients to create a similar marketing asset. 
• Design marketing graphics including blog post graphics, social media graphics, email marketing graphics, print designs, etc.
• Provide basic website editing on clients websites. Minimal development skills required (i.e. placing an embed code). 
• Save final files for print. Compile brand assets for clients in appropriate formats.
• Design promotional assets to promote Jules Design and the Go-To Wellness Pro Podcast.
• Design PDFs and other digital downloads for clients and Jules Design. 

 

Requirements

Since we’re looking for an ideal fit, our new Junior Designer will likely:

• Be extremely detail-oriented.
• Be dependable and respectful of deadlines.
• Be an excellent communicator who will speak up and ask questions.
• Have 1+ years of professional experience in graphic design or a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva. 
• Experience with WordPress and ShowIt is preferred.
• Experience with ClickUp for project management preferred.
• Have a quiet work environment including
  • A computer
  • Cell phone
  • High-speed internet
  • Adobe CC
  • A way to track your time (Toggl or MyHours works well)

 

Position Details

• This is a part-time, remote independent contractor role starting at approximately 30 hours per month with the potential to grow.
• Compensation range: $20-30/hr commensurate with experience
• You’ll report directly to Jules Design Founder + CEO, Julie Ralston. 
• Most of our communication will be through Click Up, but we’ll hop on a Zoom call twice a month for a check-in. In general, it doesn’t matter what your work hours are, however, I do request that you be available twice a month for a call between 9 am – 3 pm EST.

• Someone who enjoys working independently.
• Someone who is a self-starter and comfortable with learning new things. 
• Someone who can handle direct and honest feedback.
